About Redfoot Sport
Redfoot Sport is the brainchild of NRL fan, Scott Cunningham. At the age of 10 his mother bought him a Manly Warringah Sea Eagles jersey and from that moment he became a lifelong fan. Living in Brisbane, and away from Manly’s home ground, Brookvale Oval, Scott found it difficult to find other Manly fans. So he came up with the idea of creating an online community for sports fans to connect with like-minded people in their area.
Redfoot Sport's aim is to create online communities for fans of sports teams to connect and share their passion.
What About the Name?
In Scott's words:
"After kicking a football around with my 8 year old son, memories came back of my childhood playing rugby league in the backyard. Being a kid, I never wore shoes, and after I was finished playing I would look down and I would have a 'red foot' from kicking the ball. That childhood memory is now the name of the company: RedFoot Sport."
Scott Cunningham is a married father of two young boys. Sport has always been a big part of his life. He has played rugby league, basketball, touch football, cricket, indoor cricket and indoor netball. His passion is rugby league, followed closely by basketball. Playing both sports for 20 years and 15 years respectively. He also played Masters rugby league for 5 years until his body decided enough was enough. His sons now both play rugby league and he is involved in coaching the junior teams they play in.
